Peter was born in Ceylon what is now known as Sri Lanka. The family moved to the UK and he completed the normal course of ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels before joining the Police for a short while. He then went into science and spent time in London at the Hammersmith Hospital before moving to Pretoria in South Africa. He had moved to Cape Town before the first democratic election where he worked and lived with his wife. The couple then moved to the UAE for a short while before returning to Pretoria where Peter eventually listened to God and was ordained as a Deacon and then Priest taking up his first Parish at the joint Presbyterian/Anglican Parish of Trinity, Lynnwood. Peter followed God’s call to the Mid North Coast of NSW at Kempsey, Grafton Diocese. Following his wife’s death the family, Peter and two daughters (Guinevere, now in the navy in WA and Abbyghail now working for Capital Football in the ACT) moved to Perth where he was the Rector at Applecross Parish from which he was headhunted to become the Archdeacon of the Riverina based in the Federation town of Corowa. In the last couple of years Peter has been involved at St Agnes in Glen Huntly exploring the possibility of a community house, similar to the seminary, for theological students moving towards ordination.
